Why wait until the last second to pay your bill? Most say that it%26#039;s due before a certain time on the due date... electronic transfer usually takes a little while... it seems the only instant payment is done by the credit cards themselves. It DOES matter what time it%26#039;s due when paying online because it has to be fair for those who are also sending in payments via snail-mail. Let this be an expensive lesson for you... And how did you get over the limit? Your credit limit is probably suffering not only from late payments, but also from maxing out your card(s). Try to fix these things if you can, because your APR will be through the roof if you don%26#039;t... especially since almost every credit card company charges a deliquency APR and if you%26#039;re late on one of your cards, all may end up charging you this rate from the way that the industry is set up. Try to increase your credit score and you%26#039;ll have a lot more negotiating power because you%26#039;ll have good credit card offers in the mail that you can use to compete with your current CC company and possibly lower your APR.

If you need them to reverse the Late Fees and Overlimit Fees, call in saying you would like to cancel your credit card. They will put you through Retention department and be able to get off at least 2 - 3 fees. Also, you can ask them to change your cycle date of your statemetn, so it coordinates with other bills.

Also utilize their online bill payment programs, you can completely avoid this mess.

If it%26#039;s problematic having that date as your due date, you could speak to the company about shifting it to a time so you could get the payment in on time.

You could set up an automatic payment through your bank.

too bad, it require about one or two business day in order to recive your payment!

You should read their information when you sign up for the credit card. The smaller the words are the more important they are!

MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY IS MAKING me MAD!!!!?

Yeah, isn%26#039;t this kind of crap great? They like to play games like that. And as much as you try to read, and decipher their little pamplets with all that tiny print you will never find that information in there! I don%26#039;t know if there is much that you can do, because when I have gone back to look for this information on their website, it is there... it%26#039;s just really really hard to notice. Live and learn I guess. My only surefire way to avoid their crap is to pay early every time.

That%26#039;s one of the ways they make your money theirs. Why are you dealing with those vampires?

Let%26#039;s see now. You%26#039;re over your limit and late paying. Hummmmm. Cut up the card. That%26#039;ll show %26#039;em.

You%26#039;ll have to pay the late fee, so suck it up. I bet your bill has it in dark print about how payment must be received by 3 p.m. on the due date.

It sucks, but you can%26#039;t really do anything about it. I had the same crap with my paypal buyer credit account and like you, I was royally pissed. I pay it online and it takes 2 days for the payment to process. I had put in the request earlier, but it didn%26#039;t process until the day AFTER the payment was due. I didn%26#039;t think it was a big deal since most companies I know give you a grace period. Not paypal! (and I%26#039;ve never even been late once... I%26#039;ve had the account for 2+ years). Needless to say, I have a $25 late charge added to my account, so after I pay everything off, I%26#039;m closing the account. I don%26#039;t want to give business to jerks. It%26#039;s not like I%26#039;m irresponsible. I have excellent credit, actually.

After you pay off your credit card, I%26#039;d close the account. Maybe you can ask them for a fee waiver.

man, it sounds like your dealing with capitol one, i used to work for them and i hated it, i know how you feel man, not personally, but from being on the receiving end of phone calls just like yours, and it really sucks, but the bottom line is, they make the rules and you agree to them by siging the paperwork, my suggestion is if it is capitol one, close the accnt, they suck, i learned a lot about credit and how to manage it while i was there, and i can tell u if u have more than 3 credit cards, it is hurting your credit score, even if you dont use them and they carry a zero balance, because lendors look at that as potential debt, and also department store credit cards really hurt your credit score, so my suggestion is to just get the thing paid for and close it, and close any others your not using, i know its a pain in the balls, but you sort of have to
