Can anyone help with this return?

A married couple has the following income

Husband: 25,000

wife: 26000

Child day care epenses for the year: 7000.

What is the dependent care credit?

Can anyone help with this return?

Depends on how many kids. Look at form 2441. You can list $3000 if you have one eligible child receiving the care, $6000 for two or more children.

Percentage would probably be .20, so your actual dependent care credit would probably be $600 if you just have one eligible child, or $1200 if you have two or more.

Can anyone help with this return?

Couple of things to add what Judy has said, what%26#039;s the age of the child(ren)? Dependent care credit ends the year the child(ren) turns 13, although you can take the dedendent care credit for expenses incurred in the year that the child(ren) turns 13 up to when they did turn 13. Also, the dependent care credit is not a refundable credit, so you have to have a tax liability in order to get any benefit from the dependent care credit. I%26#039;ve included a link to the irs website for the dependent care credit.

I live in the Dallas Ft Worth area and I am in need of some dental and orthodontal work.?

I cant find a good insurance or an office that work with me (i dont qualify for care credit or anyother credit cards) Any advice?

I live in the Dallas Ft Worth area and I am in need of some dental and orthodontal work.?

You have four options with dental.

1. Visit a local dental school. You can get most procedures done for a reduced price if you%26#039;re willing to let them practice on you and actually they are very good.

2. Insurance - Depending upon the policy: cost $30-$60 per month. You pay a $50 deductible first, they have an annual maximum that they%26#039;ll pay per year of $750 - $1500, they have a waiting period up to 18 months for major work and then you%26#039;re paying 50% of the charges. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $829. With insurance you pay $414 after paying 18 months of premium (around $800 or $900). Advantage - you can use any dentist with most plans.

3. Discount plans - Cost - $5-$12 per month. No deductible, no annual maximum and no waiting periods. Also, hardly any dentists will accept the plan and when they do you MIGHT get a 10% discount, which is about the same discount you can get by paying cash. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $829. With discount plans you pay around $746. Be very wary of these plans because most are scams. The people that sell these plans have little or no knowledge about health %26amp; dental insurance and do not need a license to sell them. The plans are not regulated by the state so you have no recourse when you have problems. Some states are starting to ban these plans from being sold. Here is an informative link http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/wes... concerning these plans.

4. Fee for Service discount plans - Cost $7-$15 per month. No deductible, no annual maximum and no waiting periods. Many dentist will accept the plan (check providers first before signing up with any plan). When you use the plan there is a set fee that the dentist will charge you. Example - average cost for a root canal in my area is $829. With fee for service plans you pay as little as $404.

I%26#039;m an insurance agent and my personal plan is the fee for service plan. I got mine here http://www.dpbrokers.com/default.aspx?lo... specifically the Aetna Dental Access plan but which one you get depends upon your area and comparing the fee schedule to find the best for what you need covered.

I live in the Dallas Ft Worth area and I am in need of some dental and orthodontal work.?

Depending on your income level you may qualify for free Dental Care, If you live in Tarrant County contact John Peter Smith, If you live in Dallas County contact Baylor School of Dentistry(Dental students work on patients under a licensed dentist and you pay only the cost of materials and administration fee--)3302 Gaston Ave, Dallas, TX 75246

(214) 828-8100

Ask about the Texas Smiles program. A link that you may find helpful is provided.

I live in the Dallas Ft Worth area and I am in need of some dental and orthodontal work.?

Dental Tourism is now common practise, whereby patients find it cheaper to travel to india for dental treatment. specifically orthodontal treatment which is very expensive in developed countries can be done at a fraction of the cost with the same quality in india. you can contact Inderprastha Dental College at ipdentalcollege@yahoo.com for the same.

I live in the Dallas Ft Worth area and I am in need of some dental and orthodontal work.?

Hi Crystal

If the cost of treatment is a major concern, then i would suggest you explore the option of travelling to another country for your dentalwork.

Whilst it isnt financially feasible for everyone, the fact you can save over 90% on prices in the US and UK makes it very attractive to many.

Of course you need to do your due dilligence and make sure the dentist you decide on has both the expertise and most importantly recommendations you can check.

I have done this myself a few months ago. After extensive research i went to a delightful and highly recommended lady dentist in Mexico, and saved myself over $33,000 on what i%26#039;d been quoted here.

As i say , this isnt for everyone, but if you are thinking of spending a considerable sum of money, it is an option you should perhaps at least consider..:-)

More details on where and why i went to Mexico below

Hope this helps

Cheers

Im torn between mortgage, Job and school,,,,,, PLz Help!?

I am working in nursing home as a certified nursing assistant,,, Now I am planning to step up my career as an Lpn by a year or two.

I do have a $1500 mortgage/monthly and the rest of the utilities bill.

The question is,

%26quot;Do I have to get a loan?%26quot; ( and just work part time )

I hate loaning money, matter of fact, I just cut both of my credit card visa and care credit a week ago.

I want to be debt free and be able to afford my monthly mortgage and the rest.

Any ideas how do I do these? ( Should I go full time school and part time job?)

or Full time Job and part time school?

Is there anything in the internet that I can supplement my income?

Please serious answers only!

Im torn between mortgage, Job and school,,,,,, PLz Help!?

Will you be able to get a loan if you applied for one? What about a second job just to save up a little extra for school or bills, until you are finished with school.

Or move to a cheaper place...

Or do some work from home on the weekends....???

Yes there are lots of opportunities on the net. You just have to be careful and pick the right one. Anytime you think something sounds too good to be true - it probably is. So go to scam.com and see if they list it as a scam or not, before trying it. And don%26#039;t spend too much money! You shouldn%26#039;t have to pay an employer first to work.

there%26#039;s baby sitting, walking dogs, having a part time doggie daycare, consulting of some sort.....

Im torn between mortgage, Job and school,,,,,, PLz Help!?

Go full time school and full time job and sacrifice family and friends for a couple of years.

Im torn between mortgage, Job and school,,,,,, PLz Help!?

I would not get a loan. You could overextend yourself financially, become overwhelmed and unable to pay everything, and risk losing the good credit you have worked so hard to maintain.

I think you should work full-time and go to school part-time so you can maintain your mortgage and other finances. Once you finish school, you%26#039;ll be glad you stayed on top of your bills.

No matter what you decide, blessings to you.

Im torn between mortgage, Job and school,,,,,, PLz Help!?

Go to school part time for the first semester keep your full time job. You have a $1500.00 mortgage not rent. Get all the support you can from family members and friends. Good Luck!

You can do it!!! Part Time first semester and if you are doing good in school step up to full time.

Im torn between mortgage, Job and school,,,,,, PLz Help!?

Don%26#039;t get a loan if you can help it.

Look into the finacial aid at the school you want to go to, they might be able to give you a scholarship. Also talk to your employer, sometimes they offer tuition assistance if it pertains to doing your job better.

If none of that works out, figure out how much you have to spend on tuition while still paying your bills. If that means you have to work full time then do that. Then figure out how much time you want to spend each week on coursework. Balance the money and time to find a happy medium.

Im torn between mortgage, Job and school,,,,,, PLz Help!?

hmm im only 14 so idk lol

Advice&Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

I have pretty bad pain from 4 impacted wisdom teeth that have cavities. They are growing in sideways and pushing against my other teeth%26amp;everyday my other teeth hurt and ache, and so does my jaw. The pain is getting worse, and to have them removed, i%26#039;ve been given an estimate of around $2400 for all four. I don%26#039;t have insurance, or qualify for any care credit plan so have had to cope with the pain. The thing is, I have 2 dentists, located in different places. I went to one of my dentist and told her I couldn%26#039;t deal with the pain and lack of sleep and she wrote me a prescription for Vicodin, but will not allow me to have refills. I%26#039;ve found that Vicodin knocks the pain right out and I get a full nights rest. So, my question is, is it wrong or illegal to go to my second dentist and ask for a prescription as well? She%26#039;s already told me that if Motrin isn%26#039;t taking care of the pain, then to come back and she%26#039;ll write me a prescription.

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

Its not illegal but it is misleading, %26amp; can be dangerous if they start prescribing different medications, they may %26quot;clash%26quot; %26amp; either have nasty side effectrs or cancel each other out.

Be careful not to over self medicate, that way can lead to addiction.

Id say ride out the ignorance for now, but beware of the above %26amp; come clean only if u need to, you wouldnt be the 1st to have multiple health providers

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

I dont think it wrong. My mother does the same thing well not for tooth ache but for all over body pain that she has had since she was five, It becomes wrong when it becomes an addiction

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

Neither is it immoral or illegal. You need the medicine. Just be careful because vicotin is very addictive, like any opiate pain reliever. You should really figure out a way to get dental insurance, or get a job that gives dental benefits, so that you can afford the help you definately need.

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

no you go to the bank get a loan and get them teeth pulled your going to be a drug addict with bad teeth

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

...i dont think its illegal but you sounds like one of the ladies I saw on intervention, who would go to diff doctors and such and get diff perscriptions. I think that instead of going from place to place to try and get more vicodin (which can become addicting over time) why dont you try daving for the operation...not getting your wisdom teeth out can lead to other problems in your mouth, and you may have to get surgery later in time to fix the problem you could have fixed months ago...so in the end..i would just save up for the operation...ask friends/family/co-workers for some borrowed money if you need to....

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

if u can%26#039;t afford to fix then u have right to get the medicine to get rid of pain. but by telling the doctors u can%26#039; be protect yourself from any side effect of the medicine.

if u know there is no side effect n as far as u r paying the bills and buying the medicine then i think it is okay.

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

I don%26#039;t know about its legality, but it is unethical. You seem to be asking for reassurance that the end really does justify the means. Western Dental offers installment payments, I believe. Why not check them out?

The end does not justify the means, or even murderers would be holy because we all try to justify ourselves.

And think, also, of the harm you might be doing to yourself, your loved ones, or society, if you become addicted to painkillers. This would make it unethical from the viewpoint of utilitarianism and ethical altruism. Would you want everyone cheating to get more painkillers than a trained medical professional would want you to have? Including your jet pilot, chauffeur, and brain surgeon? Then it is unethical from the viewpoint of Kantian ethics.

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

I wouldn%26#039;t say it%26#039;s wrong. Now if you were getting it because of an addiction, that would be wrong.

The first dentist has already told you that she would not give you a refill, but you still feel the pain. So if the other dentist is willing to give you the Vicodin and you actually need it, it should be perfectly fine.

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

Yes, this is illegal. Go to one dr only. If the pharmacy catches you (they have networked now), you will get in trouble.

Go to the closest dentist university. They will pull them for low cost or even free.

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

Away at college? Are you near a dental school? You can get the work done there much cheaper, possibly free.

Stay clear of the vicodin unless you want to be a strung out college kid.

Advice%26amp;Opinions? Is this wrong or illegal?

yes it is illegal. Rusch Limbaugh did a similiar thing and got into big trouble.

I have two income tax refund questions?

I would like somebody to give me a round figure on how much i should get back from taxes this year. All the numbers i%26#039;m giving you are round figures.

income this year $38.5k

taxes taken $6700

I stay in virginia

2 kids

head of house hold

earned income credit

day care credit- $1000 a month

claming cell phone

single

also i work in the security field and i was wondering if i would get more of a refund if i claimed my taxes the normal way or should i itemize this year since i pay for the cleaning of my uniform.equipment and tolls?

I have two income tax refund questions?

I would make a good guess and I think it will be close to $3000. but that is going to depend on how you file. try this:

www.TaxAct.com

You can e-file for free... and also, it will give you the refund amount as you are processing your information.

Unless you have 10,000 (ten thousand) in interest and mortgage deductions.. it will not be wise to do the long form file. But, TaxAct will also advise you of that.

I have two income tax refund questions?

I would have to complete your tax return on the basis of your information to give you a refund answer. Also I would want more information. That takes time and time is valuable. Whether or not you itemize depends on the total of your deductible expenses, such as interest, taxes, medical expenses, uniforms, contributions, casualties, etc.

You can easily get an answer by filling out your tax return. Or you pay someone to do it for you.

I have two income tax refund questions?

I%26#039;d guess that even if you itemize it won%26#039;t be higher than the standard deduction. But you can put the numbers into turbo tax and it will tell you.

I have two income tax refund questions?

It%26#039;s not possible to say accurately. You have not broken out how the tax withholdings work out -- that%26#039;s WAY too much for Federal income tax for that wage level so it must include VA State taxes and FICA.

Unless your itemized deductions total more than $5,350 it isn%26#039;t worth itemizing and you%26#039;ll have a hard time convincing the IRS that you paid that much for uniform cleaning and a cell phone in most cases, especially with that much in daycare expenses.

Based upon your income your total tax liability is about $2,508. You have a child care credit of $1,380 and child tax credit of $1,128 that wipe that out, plus a refundable Additional Child Tax Credit of $872. You make too much to qualify for the EIC so get nothing there.

Based upon those numbers above you%26#039;ll get all of your Federal income tax withheld returned, plus the $872 ACTC.

You should bump up your withholding allowances by at least 7 or 8 to cut down on that refund as it is WAY too high. You%26#039;re giving the government an interest free loan of about $150 per WEEK that I%26#039;d wager that you could put to much better use if it was in your paycheck!

Some dental advice, please?

I%26#039;m having severe tooth pain, and I%26#039;m really worried. I Don%26#039;t have dental insurance, and when I saw a dentist this past summer, he said I needed a root canal/crown. I went to talk to the receptionist and she told me I was looking at 2500. There were also 2 others that were in that kind of shape that i had seen and the dentist said there was even another that i haven%26#039;t felt yet. I really can%26#039;t afford that, and the care credit? My estimate was 300 for the next 5 years.

I know this is a lot to ask, but please no %26quot;well, you have to forget about the money and go for your health......%26quot; There is just no way, okay?

I%26#039;m about to head off to Mexico to get my teeth fixed, if someone can%26#039;t give me some other kind of advice. I DO know I need to have this done, but its something i cannot foresee when the amount of the work I need done equals the cost of a new (Ford) car.

I don%26#039;t need advice on taking care of them, either. I brush 2-3 times a day, I%26#039;m addicted to floss-picks.

Some dental advice, please?

Okay first...I went to two dentists and both told me I needed a root canal. I am from a small town living in the city. I went to my dentist from my home town and turns out I didnt need a root canal. He informed me that dentists at times say you need stuff when you really dont. How would you really know if you needed it anyway, youre not a dentist. How convenient. Make sure you actually need one. If you really do, please dont go to Mexico. Most dental or any medical office have payment plans. They can set you up. In most cases they will take what you can pay them each month. As long as its a worthy amount. Most places will work with you if it comes to money.

Some dental advice, please?

I%26#039;m not sure what you mean by %26quot;care credit,%26quot; but have you tried looking into dental schools? Many times, they will do procedures for cheaper than a regular dentist office.

Some dental advice, please?

ok dont go to mexico. First get dental insurance, meanwhile to deal with the pain take motrin or any over the counter pain reliever.

Some dental advice, please?

Mexico IS a good choice should be able to get good care at an affordable price and hopefully you can write off all associated costs on taxes for medical expense as you%26#039;re really forced to do that.

The dental school idea is legit but I don%26#039;t know about making appointments--I think they do but I fear they%26#039;re months out because the need is so great. Only other thing to do is to shop around for the cheapest dentist. I have dental problems with no insurance and I found a dentist who does the whole shebang on a crown for $500--the visits, the crown, adjustment if necessary. That%26#039;s very reasonable as that would be the co-pay or less if I had insurance which I couldn%26#039;t afford anyway. No idea about what a root canal would cost, but would be comparably cheap I should think.

Another thought is to look for a brand new dentist--starting up they tend to offer lower prices as they need clients. He might be able to offer you a payment plan--may even need a bit of help with the business--maybe you can do something as a bit of a barter? Trying hard to think of anything that could work as I DO feel your pain quite literally and wish you good luck.

BTW, get hooked on chewing gum with XYLITOL--helps reduce dental carries which COULD be a factor with your problems. I think there may be other things you could do, perhaps calcium supplements? to help reduce future problems.

Does anyone know of any veterinary hospitals in Indiana or Ohio that offer payment plans?

I just found out that my female miniature pinscher needs a surgical procedure done on her leg that is going to cost around $1800. I have called around trying to find a vet that will do a payment plan for the cost of the surgery, but they only thing they have offered is a credit card called %26quot;care credit%26quot;. It seems like a good deal, but unfortunately I was denied for this card. So I am just trying to find a vet that will work out a payment plan with me so that my puppy can get her surgery sooner than later. If anyone knows of any vets in Indiana or Ohio that offer payment plans please respond to this. This is a serious question and I would appreciate only serious answers, so please leave your sarcasm and bullshit at the door.

Thanks

Does anyone know of any veterinary hospitals in Indiana or Ohio that offer payment plans?

My heart goes out to you and you little mini - pin..

I understand the situation you are in, vets are just as expensive as %26#039;%26#039;human%26quot; doctors and very rarely will accept any kind of payment plan.

I know of a few vets in Ohio that will consider taking payments as long as they know the customer and has a good history with them. ( but even then, they will not always allow even their most trusted customers the payment option ) ..

All you can do is stay vigilant and do an on-line yellow pages search of all vets in the area you are able to travel to.

There is also another possibility ( it is worth trying anything to help a beloved family pet )

write an e - mail to Dick Goddard at Fox 8 news in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a very well known animal advocate and works with many organizations to help sick, abused, unwanted, and lost pets. Seriously, please contact him..he just might be able to help you find a vet who understands and WILL take payments from you to help your pup live a full and healthy life.

I wish you the best of luck and please let me know how things work out for your pup...
