A few years ago, I had a roommate run some utilities up in my name and I was in debt due to college. I am looking for an apartment, and I have been told no by large apartment complex%26#039;s. I owe two charge cards and an energy company. I have been on my own since 18 (I am 26 now), and never been evicted nor do I have any reposessions. What do I need to do to prove I can take care of the rent? I have had the same two jobs for almost 4 years? Any suggestions?
I have bad credit, can I still get an apartment?
Wow, I would rent to you. So you owe some people, but no evictions. You pass my criteria. But you might try offering to pay a couple of months rent up front. Money talks.

Sometime small apartment complexes or mom %26amp; pop landlords don%26#039;t do credit checks. Large places usually have minimum standards and they usually don%26#039;t make exceptions.
