My girlfriend put the down payment on a new car for me in 2006. Since then, I%26#039;ve been making all the payments and taking care of the upkeep on the car. We have since broken up and we would like to get the car out of her name and into mine. There is about $9,300 left to pay off the car.
I am attempting to apply for an auto loan to pay off Toyota Financial Services for the remainder. However, I have been getting paid under the table at my job for the last three years, so I cannot document my income. Also, I have piss poor credit (hence the need to put the car in her name from the start).
Does anyone have any idea how I can get such a loan? Any leads on specific companies would be very much appreciated.

Sorry, I think your going to have a really tough time finding someone willing to give you that loan. Especially with no proof of income and a poor credit history.
I think your best option is to sell the car, and pay off the loan. Which I know, leaves you without a car.

I am afraid that if you have no provable income the lenders will not look at you.
